Architectural and design solutions

We wanted to create a family nest, a mansion that would be home to a big and close-knit family. Stylistically we decided to avoid the architectural concept of an old-time Russian mansion and to turn to the European experience of the 19th century.

Architectural and design solutions

The plot of land for construction of a single-family house is located in the Moscow Region. It is trapeze-shaped with a natural slope from north to south towards a creek.

The house is a two-storey construction (with semi-basement and mezzanine floors) with two wings. Total area of the house is 1950 m².

Entrance to the house is on the side of the main and only driveway.

Ground floor of the main part of the building hosts the study and living room with fireplace (left of the entrance). To the right are the cloakroom, guest bathroom and kitchen with dining room. From the living room and the dining room there is an entrance to the terrace and from there – to the other constructions on the territory: bathhouse and boiler station.

First floor has the small living room with a fireplace, master bedroom (with access to the walkable roof), cloakroom, master bathroom and guest bedroom with private cloakroom.

Mezzanine floor accommodates guest bedrooms with bathrooms and a study space. In the semi-basement floor we arranged home cinema, gym with shower room, two cloakrooms, lower kitchen, engineering and utility services room, storage space and laundry.

All the floors of the main building are interconnected by a stairway and an elevator.

Left wing accommodates a swimming pool (20 m) with whirlpool, changing room and spa zone. It is accessible from the ground floor of the main building through the living room. The pool also has direct pass to the terrace.

Right wing of the building has garage for two cars on the ground floor and living area for the servicemen on the first floor.

Only natural materials were used for façade finish. Tapestry brick forms the ground for décor all the elements of which are made of natural stone. The roof is covered with slate.

The project envisages three construction stages: first stage – erection of the left wing with spa and swimming pool, second stage – erection of the right wing with the garage and living area, and third stage – erection of the main (central) building.

As of today works are done on the first stage of the project.
